ThiefThief

Seconline offer a wide range Security Doors and Security screens, making the correct product selection appropriate to your exact needs can be somewhat daunting. The following advice may be helpful to broaden your product knowledge and make the best possible decision for the best possible price and best possible outcome.

First of all it is necessary to ascertain the level of security needed. Do you live in a high risk area where theft and break-ins are common occurrences? Or is this type of incident rare? You may also live on the 15th floor of a high-rise secure apartment where no need for additional security measures; but a requirement to stop flying cockroaches and various other insects able to access that height. Moths and butterflies can be attracted to lights at night so in this specific case simple insect screens may suffice.

There are many different reasons why you may need Security Screens, Insect Screens or Security/Barrier Doors. This will vary from Town to Town, City to City and Suburb to Suburb and also from person-to-person. You may be a Cattle Dog owner and feel that the dogs will keep any intruders away and the barking will awaken you to any disturbances that may be about. In that case insect screens may be all you need.

Security / Barrier Screen Doors come in four basic types.; the first is the Defendoor Security Screen Doors with 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel woven mesh (wood grain option also available), the second is the PERF security screen door, the third is the Expandoor (adjustable screen door) and finally the 7 mm Diamond Grille Doors and Screens.

The mesh used to construct the Defendoor Security Screen Door is powder coated black to imitate Standard fly mesh however it is steel. 316 Marine Grade stainless Steel is designed specifically for high corrosive areas. It has a tensile strength of 1060 MPa. It will offer a high level of security and give the minimal look of Insect Screens.

7 mm diamond is a diamond pattern grille that has been used in Barrier Doors and screens for many years, however it has the distinct disadvantage of being a visual impairment to your view and does not provide much interference to someone putting their hands through the mesh and extracting the grille from the outer frame. This is not easy to do but it is possible. Stainless steel mesh is significantly less vulnerable to this type of attack.

The7 mm Diamond products are not security products; for security doors and screens look to Seconline’s  Security Screen Doors and Screens.
